    Exclamation *Obligatory Celebratory Post*

I got me a new CD player to go with my HA setup...Technics SL-PC25, its a way older model (prolly around 98-99) but I picked it up for $35 out of the Classifieds. Its pretty neat, 5 CD carousel with the flip top (as opposed to a tray) which makes it hella neat cause I can change the 4 other CDs while one is playing.

The only downside(s) are A: No remote B: pretty sensitive to vibration C: Pretty sensitive to scratched media.

So yeah, I am way stoked now, cause not having a CD player was kinda bumming me out. Now Ijust need to buy more CDs

Anyone have any ideas on how I can decrease the Vib sensitivity???

    HAHA!! FAKED YOU OUT!!

put it on a foam mat. (get a 3" thick chunk of squishy open-cell foam and just plunk it on that.)

A 5000 posts celebration in disguise. Nice avatar.

Put the cd-player on a slab of concrete and it shouldn't give you anymore vibration problems.

Well I have it stacked on top of my reciever ATM. So if I do that its going to make that overheat. So you think I could get away with cutting out some foam foot pads maybe glue some dynamat on them.

Soup, I would try that, but the reason why its an issue is because I live on the second floor of an appartment complex. So my floor and walls vibrate at the drop of dime...I also happen to have heavy footfalls which means I even have to watch how I walk around it.

Anyway thanks for the advice and Congrats.

Are you sure you didn't buy a record player?
