below it says machine info
1300mhz 256 mb, 32 m nvidida geforce 2 (0x150)
wut do i need to do running xp pro btw.

Have you installed Direct X9.0b or your latest vidcard drivers?

1.goto "start,run" and type "dxdiag".
2.click on the "display" tab
3.under the "directx features" make sure everything is "enabled"
4.then "exit"

I had the some problem just add -vidmode 1024,768,85 to the shortcut and fixed the problem.

I'm getting the same message...even tried the -vidmode deal and that didn't solve it either. Any other ideas?

I was getting this as well. This is how I solved it. I was using reforce to force refresh rates on my system for all my other games, Quake3 etc etc. Anyways before running the game I just set everything back to default and I do not that message anymore. So if you are forcing refresh rates somehow , set everything back to default see if that works.
