Can't remember if there was a message for that or not, but you do need to restart your computer for the reg edits to take effect. Also, depending on what servers you access, you may or may not see a difference. If you're accessing a server that is slow to begin with, you won't see a difference. I use to top out at about 100K (roughly 800Kb/sec) and now I'm running about 300K-400K (roughly 2.4Mb-3.2Mb/sec) on a fast server.

yeah, before i ever tweaked my registry, i had 45k/sec top speed... now on fast servers i get as high as 600k/sec but it will usually start to drop and level out at 250k/sec over a fast server... i have rr so it's not exactly the greatest connection to begin with but at least it's not my side that's the bottleneck

the registry tweak i noticed the most was the rcvwindow thing...
