I go to my storage bin and go to the image that I would like to link to, then I right-click on the image, go into properities and copy the address. I paste it into the image tags here at Sharky's and I'm done!

dunno, I got the processor a few days ago and I didnt even open the box I dont seem to get that turned on by new hardware that much anymore

I used to tear into new hardware before I finish signing for it!

I got a great deal from my vendor I couldnt pass up.. So if I use it kewl If not.. I'll just sell it for a profit...

Plus, I can move my 2.8c into the other board.. Since my other Canterwood board is only holding a 2.66Ghz without HT So I would like to take full advantage of that board

Scoobs and Knuckles, if you're going to be going ahead with the cowl mod, then I'd love to see pics, but if I might make a suggestion...

first, go out and buy a family sized box of your favourite cereal and eat it. Take the cardboard box, chop it up and make a cardboard+duct tape model of what you plan to make as a cowl. Then test with that.

tweak it a little, try different angles, lengths, and shapes until you find what you think is best.

Then go out and grab some sheet metal and make an exact copy of your "perfect model". Airflow is tricky stuff and a little change one place can make a big difference down the line. You might see a 2 degree swing in temps, or the creation/elimination of a "dead air" space just from a tiny change in your design.

After all, if you're going to go all out and custom make a cowl, you might as well be able to say "It's the best design I'd tested".

Can I just pull the bag out of the box and put in back in the cupboard, a la trailer park style?

In keeping with the cereal theme, could the last word be 'tasted' instead?

Kidding aside, thanks for the excellent idea Big_Mac. Great minds must surely think alike, if not completely exact. I have been doing some mock-ups with thin posterboard from work. I'm just missing one small element of the test ATM - hardware. Gettin' there though...
