    That is a fun way to do it, although you have to buy 2 cars (Mercedes and one of the british ones I believe)

    I'd be damned if i have to buy a car...
    BUT if i have to, i guess i will ...
    we are inching close to 25% mark
    I do get a car at 25% right?

    There are only two you have to buy and the other one is the Tuscan. You don't get a car for % complete until 50%, but it is the Corvette C5R. Those S tests suck!

    my biggest beef with the gran turismo series is no car damage... you can run into someone going 220mph+ in opposite directions and be shocked if both cars actually go into the grass...

    the physics of racing are amazing, but its rediculous if you can win some courses (test course) with certain cars (escudo) by simply holding a key down on the controller... just use walls like guides since there is no penalties. im always tempted to tbone the computer at full speed going into one of the U-turns... they go flying into the wall spinning and i get the advantage of not having to brake. the hardcore racers are probably saying im not playing the game right, but after being rearended or spun out from the computer, im going to get even...


    i never could finish the games due to not having the patience to race for 2+ hours strait...

    this problem has not stopped me from buying the first 3 games however

    would i buy a PS2 just for this game? nope. graphics-wise to me it looks like GT3 all over again. the features that set off the GT series i come to expect in a racing game... they let you tweak your car, but have not added any new features really... the fact that there was a pit crew was impressive, since i believe GT3 just lifted your car into the air and the tires magically changed.

    i had more rants than i thought ... somehow i still like the games though

    i personally say screw being a fanboy of a certain system. if you have an xbox and refuse to get a ps2 because it's a ps2, then you're not a true gamer. every system on the market has excellent titles and awful titles. i personally have all 4 next gen systems and 14 other systems besides. ok.. that's my anti fanboy rant

    about gt4, looks quite impressive from the video, but what more can they possibly do to the game besides new tracks and cars? i haven't read too much on it yet, but i think they should make all parts made to be able to purchase seperately. have the player be able to buy a header and muffler at their own prices if you don't have enough for the $5000 racing exhaust system. just my 2c

    GT4 is planning on having damage modeling, and I believe GT2 had it.

    i think GT2 had it only in Arcade mode....
