How many computers do you have?

5 in the house currently:

The new rig detailed in my Sig.

Sister's 700ish P3 Dell

Parents' 600ish Celeron from gateway

My linux box; 1.7 GHz Celeron, 256MB PC2700, 40 GB Maxtor, Cheap Shuttle Micro ATX board and an even cheaper CDROM.

My old Sony Vaio; 1.5 GHz Pentium 4 (423pin), 256MB PC800 Rambus, 80 GB Maxtor, some GF2MX video card.

Pieces of our first 200 Mhz Pentium 1 are hiding in my closet, except the pentium which hangs from my keys now

3 - 2 that run 24/7. 1 laptop.

Desktop
1.4Ghz Celeron, 384MB, 30GB & 60GB, 17in. LCD
Still runs great and in my main system for now.
XP Pro.

PIII 500, 256MB, 8GB & 20GB, on channel 2 of KVM.
Used for FTP server.
.NET Server 2003.

Laptop
P4 2GHz, 512MB, 30GB
Used for work. Telecom and Data.

Plan to build new system soon but will leave both desktops running. The current main desktop will become my FTP and the FTP will be my 2 year olds first PC.

for me i have 3 computers, plan to get 1-2 more to study on mcse

11 running at this moment.

Only two. This Athlon 1.33 ghz machine(see sig) that im on right now and the crummy pentium 166 machine that's in my brothers room sharing the dsl connection.Yep, that's right, no router for me, just a couple of nics, a crossover and my dsl modem.

1 for the son, 1 for the daughter 1 for the wife(or childrens friends) and then there's mine..
this way, theres no questions about the best gamer in the house, it could be proven at any time..

I can’t speak for the others, but I run an AD domain at home. It is more or less an enterprise setup built from NOS parts. Some of it is for my use as a testing environment, and some of the time I am using it to develop my skills. And some of the time it is just to make guests scratch their heads and wonder what the hell I am up to.

1: Main gaming system
2: Laptop that I used for school and anything productive
3: a 2nd decent gaming computer that I would either use to host a game server or let friends use
4: another computer that I would use just for trying stupid ****, like BeOS or having a computer in the bathroom(j/k).

I also have just a bunch of really stupid **** like: Mac Quadro, 233mhz Laptop w/ no screen(print server), and 386 Laptop.

I am going to get down to having only one good gaming system and then my laptop. Right now I have 3 Pentium 4s in a working system somewhere, its just to much.
