Internet Information Server(IIS), how do I start it on xp?
trying to enable this so I can make a ASP .NET web application. here is how the documentation explains the procedure:
"IIS is distributed with Windows 2000, and you must make sure it’s
running. Open the Start menu and select Settings ➢ Control Panel. Double-click the Administrative
Tools, then double-click the icon of the Internet Services Manager tool. When the Internet Services
Manager window appears, expand the node of your computer, right-click the Default Web Site item,
and from the context menu, select Start. This will start the Web server."
however, neither of my pc's running win XP have the internet services manager tool within the administrative menu.

just read this is only available on xp pro. is this true or is there a download for xp home?

I belive you have to go to add/remove windwos components and install "Internet Information Services." THEN, you can do that. Please inform me if this works or not, I have little experience networking windows xp home.

Home does not support IIS, can not even load Personal Web manager.
Must use pro for IIS.

If I'm not mistaken, XP Pro is still a lite version of IIS and only allows 10 concurrent connections/sessions.

Does anyone know how many connections/sessions Win 2k allows?

The non-server editions allow 10 connections.
