question about monitor refresh rate

can someone tell me what is a good refresh rate for 1600x1200?

also is "vertical frequency" the same as "refresh rate"?

edit/insert:
ok now im about to buy a Sun GDM5010 Sony Flat Screen 21" Monitor Trinitron and wanted to know if by any chance this is a bad idea

As high as possible

85 Hz is good. 75 Hz will do for some people. I can stand 75 Hz for a short period of time.

So this is a Sony with Sun's name on it? Confusing. I see that monitor is .24 So if it is the same tube, why would I spend hundreds more on the SOny name?
