My vision is improving!
OMG is this for real? Anandtech benchmark Neverwinter Nights with odd results!
http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.html?i=1904&p=12
Is this for real? Has anandtech messed up the graph or is the ti4200 really the fastest while the 9600 pro is the slowest in Neverwinter Nights: Shadow of Undrendtide Performance no AA/AF

I don't think that Anandtech messed up anything... I think that you are messed up and you are a Ti-4200 and 3dmark01 whore.
We already went over that the Ti-4200 is faster w/o AA/AF...

I think the interesting part is that the ti4200 is faster than the 9600 Pro with 4xAA/8xAF. I haven't seen that before in any game.

Neverwinternights has always favoured GeForce cards over the Radeons, these benchmarks aren't much of a surprise.

Probably just a driver issue, or something along those lines.

I don't even think anyone actually cares about that benchmark except for some ti4200 users who are clinging onto the thing like it's the only thing that matters that matters to them...

NWN's is smooth on my 9800NP. But honestly, who cares? If you get 20fps in NWN's you'll have good gaming. Nobody got fragged in NWN because of their sub par video performance.

You know what I find interesting? That same set of benchmarks shows the 9600 Pro spanking the 4200 WITH OR WITHOUT AA and AF in 16 out of 18 games. Neverwinter nights seems like a strange fluke, but it is 1 out of 18, and the other is Jedi Academy. In every other game on that benchmarks set, the 9600 Pro beat the 4200 in all tested configurations.
Somehow you missed that t-bird. Can't imagine how... Please shut up about the 4200 now. This set shows once and for all that the 4200 gets spanked by the 9600 Pro.
One by one, the penguins are stealing my sanity.

Save this link so we can throw it back in his face the next time (probably today) that he spouts off about his 4200.
Most people consider the 9600 Pro the best mid-range card at this time.

Fair enough, it seems to be a bit hit or miss with Radeon cards, each time a new cat driver release out there always seems to be some people complaining that performance in NWN is still poor - I have to admit I haven't played the game myself.

That is true. Seems like I had some stability problems with the Cat 3.4's. I'm using the Cat 3.7 Omegas at the moment and they are very stable. This sort of reminds me of Diablo 2, not a 3d game, but orginally written to take advantage of 3dfx's Glide. They added Direct X support at the last moment, but 3dfx cards handled Diablo 2 best. Considering how long NWN's was in developement, I think something simular is going on. But it is really a non issue as any halfway modern card can play NWN's well.
