Yup, driving classes are extensive and expensive, cars have to pass their MOT otherwise they are off the road but trust me people cheat the system just like everywhere else. I have seen some pretty screwed up cars in my time. Best bit about the Autobahn is that unless indicated you can pretty much drive as fast as you want (till they change the law)
Germany, the only country where owning a Ferrari actually means you can drive fast with it and not break the law.
im pretty sure i saw something on the history channel a few weeks ago saying that they have speed limits on the autobahn. they also have the one of the most technological advance traffic ticketing system in the world. once i saw that i was like the hell with the autobahn...i can go just as fast in my neighborhood and end up with the same results. A FATTY TICKET!!
