    dvd +r and -r prices?

I just got my dual format dvd burner, but it was an oem so it didnt come with any media.

I was checking around for the prcies of dvd media, and they were quite expensive, about 2 to 3 dollars per disc. I was wondering if you all knew of any good places to get dvd media cheaper. I thought it was only like 1 dollar per disc.

Another general question. When I tried to play a dvd on the burner, windows media player said I needed some sort of dvd decoder, but I had to pay like 15 bucks for it.

I know theres gatta be free decoders out there, right?

blank dvd media is pretty expensive, i just saw an ad in sundays paper from best buy or compusa or something they had a 25 pack for $59, thats a bit much IMO but thats me...they should be a back each lol. plus i hear of some media not working with some drives etc etc, much worse than with CDR...a REAL hit and miss kinda thing, maybe i heard wrong.

    If you want name brand discs, here's a deal for 50 dvd-r or 50 dvd+r for $50:

Buy either 2 of Memorex 25 dvd-r here or 2 of Memorex 25 dvd+r here.
Click on "view cart" on the left
    Under "coupon summary" enter: 42370167

check out www.meritline.com they are very reliable and have good prices on discs. depending on what i am goin to use the disc for makes the difference on the media i use. for my dvd player i use any old decent name brand but for picky lasers i like to use better media like verbatim, memorex, mitsui and the like... happy shopping
