Xice Watercooling
Check this out:
http://www.water-cooling.com/reviews/xice600/page1.php
Now, this is a low flow FANLESS WC system with style, and including a GPU block, it still keeps the temp of an overclocked barton below 50? Whoa.
Now, this thing is german. The model here runs off the european plug, but they have the E900 modelthat runs off the 12v line so anyone can use it.

Wow. Fanless watercooling with such style and such good temps? Lets work on finding a retailer thatw ill bring these to the USA, shall we?

Isn't Zalman doing one of these to? For the noise level you can't beat it. I'd still rather have fans on my watercooled system though.

why do you need fans if you dont need them?
i mean you can put some in if you want to, but why?

If you mean to wonder why watercooling rigs have fans in them, it's too cool the radiator, and in turn cool down the water even further.

Thermal transfer. It's more effecient with an active method of removing the heat (ie. fans). I figure that if you're going to spend all that money on a water cooling system, another $5 won't hurt on a fan.

It shouldn't be too hard to stick a fan or two somewhere in the XICE package to cool the rad down even more. Just get some adjustable enermax fans and turn them down to inaudible levels. Splice into the 12V that's going to the pump and voila.

Yes but its still one thing to be quiet and another to be silent, And this package has so much style too! Such a friggin shame we cant get that on this side of the pool

You also have to remember that you have other "HOT" components in the computer. Harddrives, northbridge, ram, powersupply, etc.
If the kit can cool all of them, then you don't need any fans.
But, most likely, you'll need at least minimal air circulation to keep some of the remainder of the computer cooled down.
But, you can use some DEAD SILENT fans running real low, if that watercooler lives up to the hype.
And you wouldn't need any of those banshee 60mm either... =)

Thats true, but at leats this eliminates two of the most important noisemakers - CPU and video card. After that you can easily get a quiet HDD, a queit SeaSonic PSU, some undervolted Panaflows of Pabst's, and you got a near silent system with style to boot.
