Is this mod possible for Max Payne 2?

One of the crappiest thing about MP1 and MP2 is that it's not a fully 360 degree camera - I mean, you turn, max payne turns with you. So you can never see his face while running.

Games Likes Splinter Cell, Freedom Force are so much more immersive, where the mouse can be used to turn the camera 360 degrees and the wasd are used for movement by default.

Is there any mod that allows you to achieve the same result in MP1 or MP2 ?

The GFX would be so much better. I know there was a mod that achieved this result for Hitman 1 and 2.

In splinter cell you only use 360 when you have no weapons out. Max Payne pretty much always has a gun out.

    Yes

All you need to do it type: -developer -developerkeys at the end of the target command line of your Max Payne 2 shortcut. Then when in game just press F3 and you can control the camera with the mouse and arrow keys, moving it where ever you want. It won't follow max but you can achieve some pretty cool effects. Hitiing F3 again will let you control Max. This makes for some cool screenshots.

Wish I would have known this before I eBayed the game. I would have like to see some more of Mona from the front as well as several other angles.

Would this work in other games too. I would like to get some good screenshots of the hobbit demo since I have to write a preview for it. I'd hate to just take some stale screenshots from another site.

Using the developerkeys method totally inverts the controls. This is how they were able to release some cool screenshots for magazines to tempt us with. I don't know how practical it would be to use in game though. Was hard trying to control it while inverted. Possibly a mod can be made with the written policies that constrain the mouse controls. Remedy has been so cool about the SDK which should be out in a few days to a week, if not already.

it's entirely possible for a mod to set up seperate controls without using the developerkeys thing...
