Is the GeForce 3 being produced and sold cheaper than once thought?

If you are goin to be upgrading the beginning of next year just keep the ULTRA as it will be good till then. By then the GF4 or GF3Ultra will be lower price and great technology. Just keep the ULTRA now and upgrade then when you want at the beginning of next year.

i think anybody with a gf2 ultra would be crazy to upgrade to the gf3.

I just got my GEForce 2 GTS 5.5 64MB, and I might return it in exchange for a GEForce 3 is they hit the shelves within a couple weeks or so....

Guys, WAIT on the Geforce 3!

Look at some of the pages with benchmarks! For many of today's games, the Geforce 2 is _faster_ than the 3! The Geforce 3 will be better for _future_ games, that aren't released yet. When those games are _released_, buy a Geforce 3. Until then, you're spending extra money, getting fewer fps, and for nothing. The Geforce 3 still isn't even any better at DVD playback than the 2. You get nothing for current games. What's the point then? Just bragging rights.

When the games come out, the cards will have fallen in price, and then it'll make more sense.

The Elsa will be $400. i saw this @ www.guru3d.com. That is a very smart buisness move since everyone else is jacking up the price. Elsa will still make a hell of a profit

UPDATE: I cancelled my order and payed $10 cancellation fee and am now going to get a $400 Elsa GeForce 3 whenever it comes out. Will Hercules be lowering its card price too?
