pc on plasma screen
just picked my self up a nice 42" hitachi plasma screen and thought id try it on my pc on it just out of curiosity, not expecting much after bad experiances with tv out in past.however going through the 15 pin d sub thus iliminating interlacing i was rather amazed by the results, rock solid steady picture and gaming on it rather amazing and using on net just like using a massive monitor in terms of quility.sadly the screen only surports upto 1024x1024 res and has other linitation similar to lcd but with loads of aa and anio a very good picture anyway. any other plasma users on here btw

I've never gotten 'round to it. I have a 42" plasma... I think it supports 1280 * 1024, but I'm not sure. It would be sweet seeing how it works though.

sweet 50 inch wow-do you use yours for surfing etc or just gaming.i like net on mine but im a little worried about screen burn as i ve heard plasmas can be suseptable to this if a still image is projected on screen for to long.
as i side note a big screen brings new life to the old mame games.arcade perfect street fighter 2 on a 42" screen

Be careful using plasmas as gaming monitors -
Plasma's use phosphor and thus, are capable of burn - even much more quickly than RPTV using CRTs.
Keep static images away from these (this goes for anything that's static - score, meters, television station bugs, stock tickers, etc) otherwise you'll ruin a nice expensive display...

Even a good DivX encode will look like **** on a 50" plasma. Most look like **** on my 30" CRT HDTV.

the image retention phenomenon of a plasma panel occurs due to partialphosphor degrigation

Isn't that basically what I said?
Phosphor dims with use - and if you leave static images up, the phosphor burns unevenly (faster in the high-intensity areas of the image than the lower-intensity areas).
Ever see a bowling alley score monitor? That's what'll happen if you leave stuff up for too long.
