    You system is not limited to using PC2100 ram. That is the ram it officially supports. You can throw PC3200 in there and it will work fine. The PC3200 will give you more headroom on your OC and offer you better timings.


    Icecube. Do the diagnostic startup and then bring back onlty what you need. Like your internet connection (DHCP in services) that should kill Norton on startup.

    Your kidding me? I just bought another 512mb stick a month ago...

    LOL you can always put higher rated memory in. DDR is DDR. The highest official support any motherboard offers is PC3200. I run PC4000. The faster ram is all about getting headroom for overclocking

    um... I dunno how to do diagnostic startup in win2k since it doesn't have msconfig...

    You know you can download MSCONFIG for win2000. Just do a search and you will find it on the net. By far it's the best program for killing startup apps IMO

    Oh I didn't know that, I only know how to disable them using StartupCPL, thx a lot anyways

    Yep got it, once again, thx a lot... All I need to figure out right now is how to disable the stupid Norton thingie...
