    Modem issues

    I havnt been on dial up in like 4+ years so i am not sure if you can do this anymore. But my friend her pc when she dials up to the internet it does a pulse dial and a tone dial. I tried to find this option in windows xp to change it but i can not. Do any of you guys know if you can change that? Because it takes forever for her to dial up because it does that lame pulse dial.

    The difference is in the Hayes command string sent to the modem.
    ATD dials pulse and ATDT dials tone.

    You can set that value when configuring the dial connection.
