i was just at walmart so my g/f could get some stuff for her neices b-day/xmas....and they had an fx 5200 for and i shyt you not $154.99 and a radeon 9000 for $94, i dont know what the 9000 usually goes for but a price like that for a 5200 and i can imagine its probably twice what it should be. insane.

Only last week i checked out a new PC store in my area who's owner was trying to tell me the 5200 is faster than a ti4200 and the matrox parhelia is the fastest card available.

Then he top's it off by telling me i shouldnt belive magazine reviews cause they're bias. And...
I was on the army R&D team which developed the first modems in australia.

    Senile old fart!

I called best buy earlier because I have seen some posts with the 9800np for sale. Asked the sales lady if they had them in store and she said "Well, we have many 9800's for sale" I then asked the prices so that I could decide for myself if they were the np or pro maybe the xt. "They range in price, but the cheapest 9800 we have starts at $100.00." I once talked with a guy from Compusa who swore he was in the networking business for 20 years and argued with me that they don't make a Power over Ethernet device. Sounds like your guy makes the most profit off of his matrox cards

well my RMA came back...they sent me back my same card i sent them and said everything was fine with it... even though the VGA connector is obviously misaligned in the manufacturing process, u have to tweak the cable to get it to work.... i had to call back 4 times and was put on hold for 15 mins each time to finally reach someone that leveled with me.

    the result?

msi didnt have any other ti4200's to replace it with so they sent me mine back.

excellent company to buy from. saphire here i come.

edit to add: to those who rma's with msi did u send your card to the california center in city of industry? to others who will rma....dont send it there!!!!!!!!
