    DI-624 and Cordless Phone

I have the wireless DI-624 and cordless phones. Sometimes I loose my connection the internet (for a few seconds) when someone uses the phone.

The strange part. The connection is lost on my PC which uses one of the hardwired ports in the back of the router. Also the router is located in the basement and my PC is on the 2nd foor.

Does this sound possible/correct? Can my cordless phone on the 2nd floor affect my router in the basement and my PC which is hard wired to the router?

Phone: Panasonic KX-TG25608 SST (once in a while the 900 Mhz phone seems to knock it out too - but not too often)
    Router: D-Link DI-624
    Wireless card: D-Link DWL-G650

    Thanks for any insight

the phone and the wireless router both work at the same frequency so there can be problems with the wireless side but I've never heard of problems with the wired. one thing you could try would be changing the location of the phones base or the router.

Make sure the operating channels are as far apart as possible. Try different channels for best performance in your environment.

A 900MHz phone will not impact your wireless network, however other forms of interference can - lights, magnetic fields, garage door openers, . . .
