New Sound card or HS/F setup?
I can't decide between a new sound card or a heatsink fan setup. I was thinking about getting an Audigy 2. for a hs/f I was thinking about gettin a Thermalright SLK-900(A) and a Themaltake Smart Case Fan II. Which one? Thanks!

I believe that your system will be better off with the hs setup at this point, because ummm i don't think the labtec 2 speaker system can take full advantage of the audigy2.

I'm still saving up to build a new rig... While everyone else has already joined the darkside.

If you own onboard sound, I'd go with Audigy 2... I heard they sound awesome!! I'm still happy with my Live 5.1...

Yeah you're right that my speakers can't take full advantage of the card but my headphones can. I have Seinheiser HD212's and I use them more than my speakers. So one for sound card one for new hs/f setup, who's going to break the tie?

Thats like a 50/50 situation...
For Audigy 2...Your On-Board nVidia SoundStorm is pretty good for a sound chip. Going Audigy 2 will give you some nice new features but I doubt youll hear a difference without using a nice speaker setup.
For SLK900...How is your temp now? Is it running hot? SLK900 is a nice cooler but so is the one you have right now.
Ide save the money to buy something in the future...Like a TV tuner, or a VIVO card...
But since you got nice Headphones and you still want to buy something from this 2...Id go with Audigy 2...or go an extra mile and get an Audigy 2 ZS

I have extra money to buy a vid card. I don't have soundstorm. I have AC97 I think. My Aeroflow is running at 45C probably because I didn't spread out the thermal paste, LOL! But I want to O/c it so I don't want it to run too hot. Also you didn't say which one I should get.
EDIT: You did say which one I should get. Sorry! Also I saw an Audigy 2 ZS at Newegg.com for $86.00 which is a pretty good price. I think I may buy it today. Anybody change my mind?

My bad I thought MSI nForce 2's has SoundStorm...But you still have a nVidia nForce sound right? Audigy 2 may work but not realy a huge difference.
is your 2100+ a Palomino or T-Bred...If you go SLK 900 youll probably only lower it by 2C...Unless you get a High CFM fan, usualy will be noisy.
I would go for Audigy 2 ZS...specialy if you like gamming and DVD's a lot
