    Question Audigy 2 PLaycenter????

Just got an audigy 2 zs, installed the drivers and was browsing the cd, Couldnt find anything like playcenter2.0

Did I not look good enough or isn't this included with the audigy 2?

I would imagine that playcenter 4 or 5 is out now. Since 2.0 was really a piece of you know what

I believe it's called Mediasource now. Should be on the CD or already installed.

    Man did I hate Playcenter...

I remember when I first built my rig, I didn't have the interet on it until we could get rid of dial-up so I pretty much had to use this

You're the man! I find only Mediasource, no PC, guess they wanted to start anew.

I donno if it's good, but I believe Mediasource's like Playcenter, you can rip CDs with it. As for other bundled software, there're a coupla games - TR : AOD and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3 - there's also a DVD audio sampler that took my breath away! It sounds awesome even with my Z-640, can't imagine how it'll sound like on the PM5.1.

The DVD audio disc does sound good, though I wonder how much of it is just for show. Meaning, how much did the fudge the "before" to make it sound like the DVD-Audio "after" is of that much great clarity.
