    Need better Windows file search

Are there programs around that can do the same things the Windows File Search can do but with more options?

I hate the current file search for many reasons:
    • I don't like it searching within zip files (WinXP)
    • It doesn't have any logical operators (only AND)
    • It keeps refreshing when the folders are updated even though the initial search was complete (can cause slow downs when searching netwrok drives)
    • I want more flexibility with the current options - e.g. you can search for files greater/smaller than or equal to a size, but you can't search for files within a range!

I think you get the idea.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

All those features sound nice. I never really thought about it, just used the search. You should code one, or tell somebody to make it, 'cause those are some really cool ideas.

I'm in need of such a searching tool again. An additional useful feature would be the ability to choose how many levels deep to search (e.g. upto 2 sub-folders deep, etc).

    Any ideas?

    Thanks
