Need for Speed Underground will be hot!

I am not a huge NFS fan, but have you seen the screens on this one? We are talkin great gameplay. Plus with the addition of the Nitrus Oxide features to give your car that extra boost; its like running right onto the 2 Fast 2 Furious set. The graphics are so in tune, in fact, that the scenery blurs whenever you hit the NOS button. The only thing I hope that will be available is the custom features. I want to be able to kick a$$ on the streets and then trick out my ride from the cash I earn! This game will be something to look forward to.
I'm trying to free your mind Neo, but I can only show you the door. You're the one that has to walk through it.

I have to say the hot pursuits were my favorites, but this underground title is going to take NFS to insane limits.

Here is a link , the images are small but awesome. Even though it is not the greatest game, I do like NFS: HP2. Just not a great gamer, I guess.

I'm skeptical. I love the NeedForSpeed series. I've played them all since NFS2 and I'm near completion of Hot Pursuit 2.

However, I'm also right in the middle of Midnight Club 2 and I hope NFS:underground is nothing like this game. I don't like the "nitrous/boost" feature the way it is done. Real nitrous doesn't work that way, so why change the physics of a great game to add this cheesy effect?

I will probably get it, though, and enjoy it.

I race cars on the weekend at the drag strip. I have raced cars with big v-8's, n/a 4-cyl, turbo 4-cyl, and imports with nitrous. I go drag racing because it is safe if done properly. I use the games to relase the "urge" to do crazy things on the street. I'm hoping NFS:underground will mix the import scene into its already great collection of cars and physics.

I also have the demo and have been playing it.... it's 'OK'. There's just too much rice for me to deal with I think. The drag racing however is cool as hell and getting your shifts right is very important. The nitrous is too powerful though, in real life it may give you .25 seconds of your 1/4mile time if your lucky.

I'm a huge fan of rancing games that involve traffic or police. My favorite NFS was Hot Pursuit. This one looks awsome, I'm not a huge fan of the types of cars in the game, but it looks like a kick arse racing game.

I hope it's nothing like fast and furious. That would mean alot of super slow ugly cars.
