OMG! For only $1600 you get nearly 9.5K marks! That is incredible! I wonder what voodoo's M:855 gets? I think it could pull 10K, 10.5K, or maybe even 11K!

i was hoping for a little more. my current pc will pull 11k and it only cost me 300 bucks. BUT im going to get a laptop for notes but i dunno if the 800 extra dollars is worth 9k 3dmarks

The best laptop GPUs are considerably behind the best desktop GPUs in performance. Top end desktop GPUs use too much power and produce too much heat to be used in a notebook. For a notebook, the benchmark results of the M505XL are considered very good.

Yeah, hey how did you get a PC for $300 that does 11K marks? Please tell me what's in it, cause right now my $800 one is getting 11K and was doing 13K when it was OC'ed.

I don't know how you're getting such low 3dmarks with a rig like that . 9700NP with 512DDR and 2500+ should be hitting more than 11k, atleast that's always been my thoughts.

Yeah, I know, it's really weird. i managed to get 13.1K once but I had to work pretty hard for it, i should be getting 14K at stock! I am getting more like 11.5K though. It ticks me off. Maybe my RAM isn't that great, maybe it was the bad cooling on my cpu, or maybe it's my mobo, I don't know, but one thing is for sure I am working on it.

Check your details. If your running things like aa/af I would understand the score. Most people turn all that stuff off and change settings to performance to get good scores and if possible turn of vsync..

Not, entirely sure, but it should be around what other Pentium-M notebooks get, so 1 1/2 to 2 hours of gaming I guess. Then again they are all different. The IBM T40 has 5 hours of battery life! Not sure if that's while gaming though.
