    noob case

here are some pics of my case.I took some before shots of it becuase i plan to mod it with some uv lights, wire sleeving and a window..Also maybe some lian li cd-rom bezels and a new cpu heatsink. I did a little modding already by adding another blothhole in the back and on the sidepanel.so here are the pics of my dirty case.

Don't ya just love the Lian-Li's. Its a great case and easy to cut up. That rear second fan looks good from what I can see. When you add the windo will the side fan be gone? You could add a Blow hole to the top..

well, the best way to get better is to gain experience! just take a look at GLScooby's sig. "There are no mistakes in modding...only more modding" (or something to that extent)

Your cutting a Window into the Side Panel so use the piece to practice cutting round holes. Trust me the Lian-Li is easy to cut, just stay an 1/8" inside the line and then file down to the line. With more practice you will be cutting 1/16" inside and filing just a wee bit. BUy your self a nice File for Steel Fine Grain type. Don't use the Dremel for filing, if it slips you mess up the Lian Bad. Tape the area real good with masking tape, I recommend two layers of tape. Dude, go for it.. Take your time and enjoy the modding..

Gotta luv them Lian-Li cases. Lian-Li makes stick-on, brushed alum. faceplates for most drives. See them at their website.

If I were to get the Lian-Li faceplates though, I'd get the universal bezels. I think they will hide the entire drive, and wouldn't expose the open/close button, as well as the volume etc...

Hah, OS-Wiz, how confusing do these threads get when we post back to back? I'll use the other avatar I made, once my internet gets back up.

My next case will be a lian li without a doubt. The brushed aluminum and simplistic look is just awesome.

Looks good. Did you ever have the stock cooler on your 9800? I want to know how much quieter a GPU cooler like that can be. I'm pretty sure my GPU fan is the loudest thing in my case when I turn off all my fans other than the CPU heatsink fan.

Agreed. That's why I originally got my PC-70. I ended up selling it for a Coolermaster ATC-111, another simplistic, brushed aluminum case, just because the PC-70 was too big and I will be moving around a lot.

ya i had the stock cooler on the 9800pro for a few weeks.my overclocks were alright 411/345 but with the zalman cooler and some ramsinks i can hit 430/380. funny thing is that when i got it from circuit city it was clocked at non-pro speeds so i just flashed it.Im pretty sure its a pro though becuase it has the samsung ram and the product # says its a pro.

its not quiet when im using the fan i put on there.i only use the fan when im overclocking and benchmaking
