    Upgrading a Laptop

    I'm recieving my dad's old sony laptop. Just wondering if there's anyway i can send it back to sony and maybe get it upgraded. Basically just wanna upgrade the vid card in it, but don't know if thats even possible. So just want your insight about it.

    Core 2 Duo e8400
    ASUS P5Q Pro
    4 gigs DDR2 PC2 8500 Mushkin Ram
    EVGA GTX 260
    WD 74 gig Raptor
    Maxtor 300 gig Diamond Max
    Maxtor 1 tb
    Antec NeoPower 550w

    There aren't really any replaceable cards in the box, per se. All the components are soldered. Sometimes a processor module can be replaced, but at a cost more than the unit is worth.

    I don't know about sony, but some companys (dell started in 2000) have upgradable video cards. I upgraded my Dell's video card from a geforce 2 32mb to a 9000m 64mb
    Desktop 1: Raidmax X-1 ATX, A64 3500+ on Asus A8N5X nForce4, PCIe Geforce 7800GT 256mb, 2x512mb PC3200,
    Desktop 2: Alientower , P4B 2.53Ghz O/C to 3.04ghz on ASUS P4B533, r9800pro 128mb, 2x512mb PC2100,
    Dell i8100 Laptop: P3 1.13ghz, 64mb r9000, 384mb.
    Xbox 360 - Modified Hitachi Firmware|Xbox Xecuter2.6 80gb |GC|1.5 PSP w/ 2GB MS Duo
