Thumbs up Best gaming lappy for your money

For those looking for a gaming laptop:

Sager makes the best lappies by far for gaming. I'd get the lowest end model out of the three on the page (2.8Ghz P4 w/HT!! ) and give it a bigger 60GB HD, put in 1GB of ram and get the 4 year warranty because it's still going to be under $2000 when you give it the bigger HD and RAM.

That looks good, but alot of people won'y bite because of the poor battery life.

BTW, I think I was playing Wolf ET with your brother (Commander Keen?) yesterday.

If battery life is a priority, a Dell Inspiron 8600 would be a good bet. Before tax the lappy in my sig came to around $1650 with a free carrying case.

Edit: talldude, you'd also probably get it in 3 days. I did in Nashville.

yeah...it's more of a portable desktop than a laptop really. But still...for the money you get one hell of a machine.

That laptop looks pretty thick. I just purchased a Compaq x1050. comes with a radeon 9200 32mb vid card. The games I play on this laptop runs pretty smooth and the price I got for this laptop is great. $850 after rebate. I just upgraded the memory from 256mb to 768mb. Also it comes wide screen too!
