Some of my searches are getting hijacked, how can i stop this?
Ok, someimtes when im searching on google and click on a link the browser is hijacked and taken to some other serach engine, or add thingy, im not sure since i dont look at it too much, what can i do to go about getting rid of this stuff?
I have used both ad-aware and Spybot - Search & Destroy to no effect on this, any ideas?

It sounds like you are going to a link that is no longer valid and are getting some generic ad/search page. If you post a specific search result that this is happening on, I can confirm this for you.

no, its sporatic, sometimes ill click on the link and goto the serach page, then go back click on the same link and get the actual page.

Maybe you have some adware that is hiding on your pc? Try cleaning with spybot?

god I wished I knew the answer to that. I had the same exact problem. It ended up causing me to reinstall windows. I tried everything and couldnt fix it. I'm thinking I got it from downloading dreamweaver off kazaa because I hadn't down and unusual surfing before it started happening. I'd like to know where I got it from so if you have any ideas I'd like to know. What is the name of the search engine that does it, I forget. I tried everything and couldnt fix it. I spent less time reinstalling everything than I did trying to find a solution so my advice to you is just back up stuff and go for it.

Mozilla is terrible! Much slower then IE.. But I do admit that the builtin popup blocker is cool... That is it.

You're browser is Hijacked!
Unless you are aware of what's at these links (similar above from others), and guard yourself...you're doomed to have it happen again and again....using IE, that is
go here, read and download;

Go here and read the "Hijack removal" section

Here's more security issues and settings that need to be changed/enforced when using IE.......
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/restricted.htm
At the least follow the settings for ActiveX and Java in the;
