I finally got motivated to finish this project off, so I decided to splurge on parts today and everything I'll (hopefully) need. I just ordered the following from Voyeurmods.com:
Eheim 1250 pump
Vantec 520 watt PSU
4 120x120x38mm fans
2 aluminum 80mm fans
12" red cold cathode
The shipping was bit expensive to my taste: $25 (That's how much it costed to ship the inital 30lb of steel from Redmond, WA!) But what's $25 on top of $250.
I was going to get the larger Eheim pump, but decided against it. I don't think my lines are big enough to make use of such a large pump. I also decided on the 520 watt Vantec because I am having problems with my Antec SmartPower in my current rig. I also want to have as much headroom to work with a possible as I hear the new Intel chips are going to be sucking down the juice.

Great work, I am happy to see that this is moving along so nicely.

w00t! I finally have all the parts necessary to finish the "Master Plan" *manaical laughter* otherwise known as my comp case. Here's some .JPGage (just made that up):
I already mounted the pump in the case. It's sitting on top of some rubber fuel line hose to stop any vibration. I didn't realize what I was missing with the pump in my current case. This Eheim runs like a 1972 Chevy Caprice. Smooth and powerful.
I tried out all 6 fans together and they seem more quiet than the two front fans on my PC-60. I don't really have any plans for fan placement, so if anyone wants to suggest something, please do.
When I ordered the red CC (not in pic) I missed that it was just an extra bulb and not the whole setup. Hopefully I'll be able to steal the necessary electronics from my old scanner.
I didn't realize how good the PSU looked until I took it out of the box. It's the most beautiful PSU I've ver seen. Hopefully it'll be up to the task of some heavy P4 OC'ing.
Also received was a 24"x48"x1/8" plexi sheet for the left side of the case. I've been cutting it with a sawzall (don't have a jigsaw) and it's been going pretty well, but not perfectly.

I can't wait to see the finished product and your OC results.
That PSU is damn sexy too. Good pick.

Update:
I've been doing a little bit of sheet metal work on the case, but the real news this time is the GF2MX400 that I've been using as a mock-up tool. I'm currently putting together a box to run smoothwall (to take over for my little Linksys box and give me some real security) out of spare parts lying around.
I had one of everything besides a graphics card, then I remembered that I had one in the case I'm building. The card has so far been submerged in water several times, covered in metal dust, had HUGE amounts of DC run through it (courtesy of my welder), and been withing inches of 1300 deg C heat, and suffered the shock of a 15 lb hammer "working over" the side of the case.
I plugged it into the pile of parts and lo and behold IT WORKS! That's all the big news for this installment.
Edit: That's a pic of the box up and running as proof.

OK, I just typed a REALLY long post and while uploading the pics to go along with it and my computer crashed. Se here's my second go at this:
I just finished mocking up the entire case and the results look good to me. The frame and WC system are completely done and function very well.
The sheet metal design has underwent some heavy revisions. I don't much care for working with stainless steel sheet without the right tools (shear and brake), so the case is now an officially "open air" design with sheet metal accents.
Here's a directory full of pictures that I just took today of the case. Most are self explantory except for two of them. The file "portrait" is a picture of me in the garage, and "welder&gloves" is of my trusty Miller EconoTIG and my favorite welding gloves which were with me through the whole project.

Since I'm almost done with the case, I've started on a list of hardware that I want to put into it. Here it is:
Asus P4C800-E Deluxe Deluxe $190.00
Intel Pentium 4 / 2.4CGHz 512k socket 478 Hyper Threaded 800 MHz FSB $171.00
CORSAIR MEMORY XMS(Twin Pack) 512MB(2 x 256MB)TWINX512-4000PT Matched Pair With Platinum - Silver Heat Spreader . $202
2x Western Digital Raptor 36GB SATA WD360GD 10,000 RPM 8MB Hard Drive OEM $131.00x2
Lite On 52x32x52 Black Color CDRW Drive LTR-52327S $42.99
ATI OEM SAPPHIRE RADEON 9800 128MB Non Pro DVI/TV 8X AGP BULK $249
Maze4 w/ Copper top for CPU $49.00
Maze4 for ATI GPU $48.00
Ramsinks for VidCard $30
Danger Den Z-Chip Block (Intel 865/875) $43.00
Arctic silver adhesive paste and thermal paste $12
I'm completely open to suggestions for hardware, so if you have any, speak up.
I think that's all for this installment, more updates to follow as things progress.

I started a new thread as the project was getting out of the building stage and into the "showing off" stage: http://www.sharkyforums.com/showthre...hreadid=207926
