    cathode light switch question

I bought a Blue Thermaltake 1000 case and put a blue cathode light inside the top of the case. The switch is designed to go in a PCI slot in the back but it won't reach... can I just connect the 2 wires together so it comes on when I start the computer or do I have to go through the switch??

You could connect the cathode wires to the psu wires somewhow, I'm no electrician and couldn't tell you how to do that. Or you could just cut the existing wires and extend it with some other type of wire. I know that would work, I've done it before.

do you have a picture of what the switch looks like? if i'm thinking of the right thing, couldn't you just turn the switch on and not even have to put it in one of the openings for a pci slot? just an idea. don't know if i'm even thinking of the correct thing.
