k, time for the fan controller/ temp sensor.

Ok guys, heres the deal, I want a fan controller with a temp sensor on it so I can keep and eye on my video cards temp. I have found this one right here, seems like the best deal to me.

    http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...=BROWSE&depa=0

If anyone else can find something similar & inexpensive or about the same price post it here w/ a link so I can check it out. But it has to be black.

    thanks guys

p.s. looks like my modding is slowing down huh, or maybe I just waiting???

If you only need it to control one fan (like just the CPU HS fan) then the Vantec Nexus 101 is the way to go -- has 3 temp probes.

Oh Hell yeah, Enermax makes one badass little controller.

Controls up to six fans (10W each channel), two thermistors and can even double as a hard drive cooler.

    ~$30, though.

I only need 1 temp probe for the vidcard since my mobo has a temp probe built in under the CPU & I ordered an enermax adjust 92mm fan for my slk 900-a.

The Hardcano controls 8 fans total "2 for each knob" and has 1 temp probe + is cheaper & it's black LOL.

I think that one is the best deal for my application since I can run all of my case fans on it..but the nexus is pretty cool looking.

as for the hard comment, god only knows LOL.

So can any other controller. Wire splitters can do that without a problem.

Hell, you can get a dozen fans on that single Nexus controller if you felt like it so long as you don't exceed the wattage.

OK, picture this: you're running a 3dmark benchmark, how will you monitor CPU, Vidcard, and NB temp? Once you figure that out you'll know why I use both a Nexus 101, and 201!

OS you should be a salesman ROFL. So how would I put the temp sensor on the cpu? smoosh it between the heatsink and the cpu or something? same for the NB.. I would imagien the sensors breaking or something.

that would definatly be cool to keep an eye on all 3 LOL.

Northbridge temp? Isn't that getting a little excessive?

    GASP! are you telepathic LOL.

anyways I just made my decision and ordered the one ashpool recommended. Look at it as the best of both worlds, 6 fan controllers and 2 temp sensors + an HDD cooler for when my SATA Raptor arrives, also got some artic silver 3 for 2 bucks heh.

Pics will be availible as soon as it gets here .

I was about to remove the waterblock from my northbridge and replace it with a passive heatsink or a small fan... I don't think it needs the extra cool, heh.

I heard that with water cooling connecting the cpu block with the nb block and the video card block just cause the water to not get cooled as well do to the extra heat, and making the rig runn hotter, wonder if you'll a temp drop by remoing the nb blobk?

It's not so much the warmer water because the northbridge can't really put out a whole lot. The big loss is that water pressure goes down. By pulling the block and presumably some tubing out, the pressure of the water and, consequently, the cooling ability of the water increase.

It's very likely I'll see some temp drops by removing the northbridge block.
