    Question (( 19" Monitor )) (( Sony G400/G420s))

Does anybody have this monitor, can you recommend it? I have had bad experience with a Viewsonic A95F with blurryness and fuzzy. This time i do not want to go wrong with text quality and sharpness.

PS If you have any recommendations on venders to buy from that have excelent returning policy? or good price.

I have an E400, which is the same exact monitor less the extra video input as the G400. Its AWSOME, great image quality, high refresh rates at high res, I can't say enough about this monitor I LOVE IT.

The Sony G400 is highly recommended, at least from me

I have this particular monitor and I haven´t had any problems with it yet. The sharpness of the G400 model is exceptional, and images are looking photo-realistic. I really can´t complain, it´s the best monitor I have seen and experienced so far.

However, what´s the difference between the Sony G420s and G400?

Heh, well if you use 800 x 600 i wouldn't consider ANY monitor to be blurry at that res. not even fisher price monitors will be blurry at that resolution.

-- as for the difference, the 420s has 4 usb ports, and the 400 doesn't, which i dont care because i have a usb microsoft keyboard that has 2 ports on the front of it.

Hi there, just a quick note to let you know if you don't know already, the CPD-G420S does not have the USB ports. It has what Sony calls a corporate speaker on the right side concealed in the cabinet. I like the looks of the new cabinet. The CPD-G420 that looks to be available in contries other than USA does have the USB ports. You can find the specs on the Sony web sites.

    I bought the G-400 a week ago.

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST MONITOR I'VE USED.

    Hands down.

    High refresh rate. Bright Colors.

It's great. And I'm not a big 'Sony' guy.

I am pretty sure the difference is that the G400 is a totally flat tube, i.e. FD Trinitron, and the 420GS is based on a "regular" Trinitron tube.

I have a G400 and I think it's great. Sometimes place like cnet.com and zdnet.com have really good Top Ten lists or whatever, comparing various things like monitors. You should check them out for more reviews and also user info. I use cnet.com before I buy anything, just to see what most people think. For the technical stuff, like mobos and stuff, I always check here at sharkyforums, of course!
