Where did the OFF-TOPIC forum go?

It seems to have dissappered? It's not on the forums page and I tried to access one of my topics I made on their a while ago to see if that even worked and I got a Forbidden message? Whats up with this?

No they aren't, SF is alive and well...off topic was just a place for spammers to get boners over their quickly increasing post-counts. Just cause they've left to go feel like rock stars in some other forum doesn't mean that SF is any worse off.

A valid concern, but I think they all realize that these other topic areas are not spam-friendly. Spam loves company, any straglers will be easily driven away. Plus, most of those types have left to other forums already, so I think there's little to worry about.

I'm glad it's gone. SF's purpose has always been oriented towards computer hardware and software. I never thought they were trying to be the latest hot-spot hangout for chatters. I'm glad they recognized that (I'm assuming here) and severed it like they did.

Well, thats what Off-Topic is for.

Even though I hardly ever read the OT forum, many ppl did and I think that SharkyForums is less of a community now that OT is gone. Hopefully, they'll soon add back OT (or maybe just more specific OT forums)...if they're really concerned about spammers, the OT forums should just limit the max posts per user per day.

I think that is crap. All boards need an off topic. OT gives people a place to get to know each other and speak whats on their mind. There is no way to really get to know someone by just having them give you tech support. I have made many friends from OT which would have been inpossable without it. I think these forums have turned to crap. My forums have are just like sharky's and they have an off topic. There are already many members. They are here.... http://forums.shawnscomputers.com

Well I think you forgot to add a line to your sentence. "IMO"

And if you ever was at OT you would have seen ppl that aren't "spammers" but instead have other stuff in their lifes.

Does these ppl say ANYTHING to you?

SWW, Galen, Valafar, Wyrm, (MR) White and the list goes on.

Do you call these ppl "SPAMMERS"????????

Ho by the way my count is 95% from CPU/OC, Motherboard and so on, and only 5% OT. Does THAT make me a "SPAMMER"???

The people that posted most often in OT...you call them 'spammers', were some of the first people to come to SF when it opened up here in Sept. of last year. The things you say make you sound like a completely brainwashed fool, im afraid.

You were hardly ever in OT, so I dont think you even should deserve to put-down the community and the people that were in it in that way.
