    Terry,

That was the same problem I was having if i had it resampling at 192000. Drop it down to 96000 and it went away. But if the hardware resamples at 48000 Hz, just set it to that.

Yeah, what the hell XP, why did you make everyone set it to 192000?

Ok, installed the full thing, set it to like people suggested.
    Sounds even better now. *tears*

edit: no more pops when jumping around, but still standing by for other pops... Hmm maybe I shouldn't have turned the volumn up when I first got the phone. Maybe I damaged it?

Less pops though, and less noticable

Your pops could also be the result of people switching light switches on and off. My Z560's make a pop when I turn on my Ikea halogen lamp. My HT system also skips via coax when the fluorecent light is turned on.

Best thing to do to test for pops. Go to the countryside with your laptop and listen to music.

    Ok, someone slap me.

I just noticed pop when I swivel my head back and forth, so the sets swivel and somehow there is pop created in the foam.

So, not the hardware's fault, but me

Look at me ma', I can make pops.

Have to find a way to stabalize my head.

edit: oh no!!!! It's more than my head
I tried out the DVD-audio disk that came with A2NX and pops like ALL THE TIME in the classical section

Ha ha ha! how often does a noob's first post get stickied, eh?

about the resampler KEEP IT AT 48000Hz!!!
The only reason to put it there is to bypass your onboard resampler. Why would you go any higher? If you pour a glass of water into a bucket, you still only have a glass of water...it's just in a bigger container.

Dang, that analogy sucks....my point is that increasing the sample rate isn't going to increase your quality...you're starting from a 441000Hz source, doubleing that to 882000Hz will only have an intermediate sample between samples that aren't actually doing anything, eating up processor power for absolutely no benefit...

All this thinkin's makin' my head hurt. What should the resampler be set at if I'm using onboard Soundstorm? I'm thinking the 48000Hz, but I'm starting to get lost with all these settings..
