Suprised to see my Laptop still kickin @$$ snice day 1

I bought last june, close to a top of the line. Pentium M 1.3GHZ 1 512DDR stick(1 left open for expansion) and 64DDR Moblie 9000. The screen was good, 15.1 SXGA+ and a decent 40GB HD. To my suprise it still can do everything my desktop(R.I.P.) Every game I normally play it can(Far Cry is quite bad though) and all windows apps run just as they were on my desktop. I may be switching to laptops only. This should last at least another year for gamming. This is the first time I have really used my laptop besides lans in a long time.

Amen to that - I bought my Dell 8600 that's in my sig in November '03, so far not a single complain about it, I love it. It surprisingly has held it's value pretty good too - I could re-sell it on ebay right now without much of a loss. While I will never go laptop-only, the combination of having my desktop at home and laptop on the go is the way of the wise

Just give an update, was playing City of heros, and I can maintain 1024-768 max details and still keep a decent frame rate of 20-25FPS. It may seem low, but its quite good and dose fine for MMORPG
