Some use PDA's a lot somen not so much.
Basically if you're an organizational freak, you'll probably use it.
If you're a avid handheld gamer and like SNES, NES, gameboy games, etc, you'll love it as an emulator.
If you don't mind watching movies on a small screen you'll like it.
If you want a hard core mp3 player you'll like it.
If you want it because you think college kids use it, or you just think its cool, you'll never use it, don't get it.
I used my X5 some, not a lot, but basically because it wasn't as powerful a Pocket PC as I needed. i'm waiting for the VGA handhelds to hit more mainstream, then i'll jump on them.

can we get a screenshot of what it looks like to browse websites?
Do you have to scroll like crazy?

I don't have a screenshot, many sites do though.
Yeah you have to scroll like crazy, and it deforms most regular websites.
But the pocket sites (like the mobile msn and mobile espn sites) are set to have a width of the 240 pixels, and the sites look good, and are highly functional and usable.
With the 640x480 VGA Pocket PC's ive seen shots of IE and it gets lots of normal pages to fit inside the screen.

on my QVGA ipaq 4155, the browser automatically formats the page to fit as well as possible but you do have to scroll a bit... browsing on a VGA PDA is almost like using a desktop
heres a VGA Asus A730 (being released next month)

wow thanks itachi.. um I mean kpxgq
Looks like a really viable way of portable browsing.
I don't relaly feel like hauling my tank-like Dell everywhere.
This is a great solution, especially the VGA ones.
edit: what's that ASUS one gonna retail for?
