    Need some help with organization!

Need some help from all you busy data gurus

I just started a new job last week which requires me to track projects and several contacts.

I currently have a old Palm Vx which has worked well for me for my personal stuff. Now there are several new requirements to a PDA that is needed because of my new job.

At home I use the basic Palm Desktop w/ Hotsync and Eudora mail. In the office I use Outlook. Two other considerations are to sync My Yahoo (unsure of it's security though) and my motorola v600 (for basic telephone numbers and appoinments)
Migrating to Outlook (home) completely will probably be my best bet for easy consolidation. Another consideration is getting Intellisync and sync all the diffenerent platforms. The drawback is cost involved in the Intellisync.

Would guys suggest getting Intellisync and work with the existing Palm?

    Or

Moving over to a Windows Ce based PDA with all the latest features to sync with outlook?

My Palm Tungsten T syncs with Outlook just fine, I use the Chapura PocketMirror software that came with my palm. I bet you can find it cheap somewhere, or maybe just buy a new cheap palm that comes with it.

Well I'm also looking for something that can handle project management. I was never a big Outlook user but I now I have to find a way to track and manage open projects and status them.

Outlook is okay for project management, but we're finding that for larger projects with lots of people involved it doesn't cut it. Someone is currently evaluating MS Project to move in that direction -- but of course we'll all still have Outlook too. Now if everyone would actually use its calendar properly, it'd be soo much easier to schedule things.

MS Project is the way to go if you must track and manage various resources for each project. In addition there are some templates available to help set up common projects such as OS deployment, hardware deployment, etc.
