Post decent cdrw and dvd for under 100 shipped

    hi guys,
i'm looking for a decent cdrw and dvd (separate if possible) for under 100... for dvd at least 8x and for the cdrw... 8x4x32 minimum.
somehow 8xs are hard to come by these days... :P

If you can get a little more $$$ you might be able to get a Lite On DVD and a Lite On CDRW for about $130-135 shipped from www.newegg.com

sounds somewhat decent, but i'm looking for dvd speeds 6x+.
    thanks though
i had ordered the hp from buy.com, hoping to get the 100 or 50 dollar rebate to bring it down to 120 something, but they spent so much time processing (instead of shipping within 24-48 hours, i found even after a whole week they hadn't shipped it, and they didn't have any tel. no. or email) i cancelled that.

I will strongly suggest against HP. Their burner die no matter how much care you take off. Support is really polite either. Called many times. I heared its changed with new burners but I don't believe it.

umm, 4x is SLOW. i had my 4/2/24 from hp for a couple years now and upgraded to a 16x...you'll notice the difference from burning 3cd's in an hour to burning like 15 or so cd's in an hour

I don't know how they rate reliability wise, but I got a samsung 12x8x32 a couple of months ago for $100. It doesn't have burnproof, but it has an 8mb buffer and I haven't made any coasters yet.

    EDIT: Model SW-212B
