Configured an Compaq R3000Z laptop.. need advice

This is what I have so far

    Microsoft(R) Windows(R) XP Home Edition

    Processor AMD Athlon(TM) 64 3700+ (2.40 GHz)

    Display 15.4" WXGA Widescreen (1280x800)

    Graphics Card 64MB NVIDIA(R) GeForce(TM) 4 440 Go +1394 & 5-in-1

    Memory 256MB DDR SDRAM (1x256MB)

Hard Drive FREE Upgrade from 40GB to 60GB 4200 RPM Hard Drive

    Primary CD/DVD Drive 4X DVD+RW/R & CD-RW Combo Drive

Networking FREE Upgrade to 54g(TM) Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN !!

Primary Battery 12 Cell Lithium Ion Battery

    All this for around $1400

I configured it with small amount of memory for a reason. I'm going to buy a 512 stick of 2700 notebook memory little later on since its cheaper then upgrading through compaq.

The only thing I don't really like is that video.. but I doubt I'll be playing doom 3 on it anytime soon.

3700+ in a laptop, sounds like a beast, for only $1400 that thing is a steal. I think if I got it I would have to go with the WSXGA+ screen though. Getting the lowest memory from the manufacturer then upgrading is the way to go, I have done that on my past 2 laptops, saved a bunch of money.
