center channel not working
well my center channel on my cheap altec lansing ACS251's doesn't work on my Fortissimo III. i always thought it was broken until i installed windows 2000 and the default sound drivers played through the center channel and i was like so any help on how i can get the center channel working wit the FOrtissimo III?

I believe thats because the default sound drivers do mono spamming.
You would need an honest to god 5.1 source for it to work with those speakers...because I dont think the drivers nor the speakers have a built in "multiplexer".

its set to 5.1 and shouldn't the center channel be working even if i'm just playing music?

Not usually. Music is played back in stereo on most soundcards, unless you have some sort of "simulated surround/CMSS/upmix" DSP mode enabled.

Yup, either a 5.1 source like DD/DTS/EAX games or a stereo source with a "simulated surround" function. Foobar2000 has this for MP3's.
