Best 19" Monitor for under $275...
I'm starting to put together a new system for myself (the one in my sig is my family's). I know I want a 19" monitor...but I also know that I don't want to pay a fortune for one either. I'm looking for something that has at least .26 dot pitch, preferably lower, and that outputs at 1600x1200. Any suggestions...? Thanks a lot.

If you have a bit more money this is the one I have and I love it!
Viewsonic G90f
You can get it an insane price here. This is where I got mine. They are just a bit slow on shipping thats the only problem with them.

That's true to a certain extent. With regular CRT's lower is better, but if you are comparing regular CRT to a CRT with Apperature Grill (such as Sony highend monitors) you would much rather have an AG .24 than a regular .20. It will say in the specs if it uses Apperature Grill pitch.
But on all regular monitors less than $350, they certainly won't be using AG and you should expect that dot pitch being lower is better.

Maybe its *more than good enough* =) Sersiouly though, I'm just wanting to get a good broad view of what the best 19" monitors for that price range are. Thanks for all the input so far guys...

One monitor that I saw and really liked was the samsung 950p. it's 19" monitor with .26 dot pitch. I saw it a staples the other day and it looked really sharp. It's not flat screen though. If you can try spending an extra 25-50 dollars and get a cheaper 19" flat screen monitor. they look much better then a regular 19". I have the lg flatron 915ft+ and really like it. you can get the cheaper version with out the bnc connectors for around $300.

I will second The KDS. I have had my Kds VS-19sn for over two years now and its still a great monitor. Though with the next sytem I am building I am gonna spring for the really nice 21" Sony F520 .22. A monitor is the thing you look at the most, make it a good one.
