yes, yet again... A500s
Well after much bugging from thrawn and others i finally picked up some AT A500s. Well after recieving them and waiting through a 5 hour physics lab ive finally had a few hous with them. At first impression i found them very hallow and lacking in both upper and lower regions, but i soon discovered that just becuase ive been beyerizing my ears alot for the past few days... and am now all hyper excited cuase there is a mid range!!! The low end is not hyper deep or with ear bleeding impact such as the beyers, but with just a smigen of a bass boost they have a very nice quick and articulate punch, and i love it. Now onto the mid range, WOW while they dont approach the k501s they are very detailed and pronounced, (side note: these cans are EXTREMLY balanced in all regions) and then the highs, such a change from the uber harsh beyers, i at first thought that the highend was non existant but after debeyerizing my ears its there all right and quite smooth and nice balance to the rest of the can. As far as soundstage is concerned they have a some what smaller ST than the beyers i think, maybe its just the music i listen to who knows. But they make up for it with some of the best halographic imaging ive ever heard, simply amazing. As far as comfert is concerned they are like "pillows." Im not gonna lie at first the little wings on top kinda scared me as its a wierd feeling but after 5 min it was gone and i now love the idea, works very well. Well thats it for now... and now some pics.
and a B&W for you B&W freaks like me

Wrong thread to ask, sorry. This thread is for telling Flutie "Awesome cans, hope you enjoy them!", or to bug him to write another page about the sound signature and how they directly compare to the K501's
^Get on it!
