Das Keyboard is rediculous. Noone looks at their keys while typing anyways.

As for the OLED keyboard, here's the mouse to go with it:

looks quite silly if you ask me.

Oh well, oled keyboard + diamondback =

edit: and anyone who tries to tell me that this isn't uber pimp:

    is an idiot.

Well if you don't look at your keys, why do you need ones that are tiny display screens?

Finally found a reason to replace my GE keyboard.

sure you dont look at your keys when your typing in MS word, but it would be awsome for gaming and graphic design. I doubt it would be that hard to map the graphics, so you could have one for every program.

Cause it's just uber cool. I do look at the shortcut keys, just not the letters. Also, I'm just a sucker for gadgets.

I swear, if I was in the garden of eden and saw that apple, I really wouldn't give a ****. Now, if there was an OLED keyboard hanging from that tree, I would have taken that thing even if I knew what was gonna happen. **** humanity, I have a keyboard with displays on the keys.

Holy crap. Wether or not that thing is practical isn't even the issue. Just look at it. I know oled is easier to make than other screen technologies, but I can't believe there is a screen in every key.

It's price must be monstrous, but a very cool idea to have a keymap right there for every different bit of software.

The keys have different weights to help get you to type faster, where as all other boards have the same. Still seems a bit high though, but they probablly arent massed produced like the comon key board either.

Heads up on the possibility of it becoming real:

Frequently Answered Answers about the Optimus keyboard
It's in initial stage of production
We hope it will be released in 2006
It will cost less than a good mobile phone
    It will be real
It will be OS-independent (at least it can work in some default state with any OS)
It will support any language or layout
Moscow is the capital of Russia
Each key could be programmed to produce any sequence
It will be an open-source keyboard, SDK will be available
Some day it will be split ('ergonomic')
It will most likely use OLED technology (e-paper is sooo slow)
Our studio is located two blocks from the Kremlin
    It will feature a key-saver
Keys will use animation when needed
It has numeric keypad because we love it
There's no snow in Moscow during Summer
It will be available worldwide (why not?)
OEM will be possible (why not?)
Contact us for hi-res images, or interview inquires

We want to thank everyone for the support. Stay tuned for our next projects

Damn that thing looks awesome. Perhaps if something goes wrong with my KB, I'd lean towards this side. Oh and the DasKeyboard also looks cool. For people who don't need to look at the buttons.
