    motherboard/cpu combo

    Hey everyone,

    First off, great community!

Secondly, I just broke a pin off my p4 2.8 CPU, thus I need to get a new CPU. I was hoping some of U could give some recommendations. I would like to get a duel CPU /MB board combo, but I would like to be able to stick with my current ram (corsair DDR 2700 2gigs (2 sticks 500, 1 gig stick).

I am looking to get a new system in a couple of months so I don’t want to break the bank. I work in CG so I still need this to be a very good, but not great setup.

Thanks in advance to any suggestions.

On any board that will run a dual core, you will have to run memory single, or in pairs. You can run the 2x512 sticks or the 1g till you get better. It will be a bottle neck till you do.
