How does Anarchy Online shape up compared to Everquest?

AO is still basically beta. Currently EQ is much more complete and well rounded. AO is buggy and unstable. In 6 months though AO might be better, but for now its hard to recommend it.

Don't play AO. If you want to play a much more fun MMORPG buy Daikatana. Daikatana isn't really the best MMORPG on the market, but it does a better job at it than AO does.

I quit playing EQ because I couldn't stand that fact that 6 months after release my Rogue (main character) still couldn't use half his skills (or if he could they didn't really DO anything *cough* detect traps *cough*).

I think this was when they announced they were planning an expansion. My response was that the current game didn't work and their programmers were hard at work on an expansion? I don't think so.

EQ was approximately 10x6.7 to the 32nd power more complete than AO on release.

Both suck in my opinion, i've played both and they both were kinda designed the same way. Not many huge gaps between the too gameplay wise. If you liked EQ you will probably like AO

Don't get AO now anyway it's too buggy if you do buy it wait for a few months still.

EQ is fun until you get >50 then it gets very boring and repetitive. Plus, you waste to much RL time trying to get in groups and CRs. So, what's a player to do? Bail and sell your account while it is still worth something hehehe. I did(well CS pissed me off to

) and I got $570.00 for it payed for the year of playing it and to upgrade my system. LMAO@EQ eheeh

blah, blah...newsflash EQ accounts are not worth $1000 anymore, check ebay and you will be enlightened. I am sure my account was more uber then the one you sold too.
