So, who purchased the Wal-mart laptop for $378?

Tell me your stories. How long did you guys have to wait?

I waited 4.5 hours to get this HP laptop from Wal-Mart. I also purchased an extended 2-year warranty plan for $69 and a carry case for $10. The grand total was around ~$480.

This laptop was better than I had expected. I thought it would have some crap generic speakers and onboard video. However, the speakers are Altec Lansing and the onboard video is Ati Xpress 200m. This laptop was an excellent value.

    I'll add more later.

I'm surprised no one on these forums had mentioned the black friday HP laptops at Wal-Mart. This was probably one of the best deals of the year.

As I had mentioned earlier, I arrived at Wal-Mart around 1:00AM. By 1:30AM a small line was beginning to form. When 5AM came around, there must have been well over fifty people waiting for the laptop. Unfortunately, Walmart only had fifteen HPs available. I was number two in line.

    Here are the laptop specs:
    AMD Sempron 1.6ghz 64-bit enabled
    XP Home SP2
    PC2700 256mb
    40gb harddrive
24x DVD and CD-RW combo drive
    Wireless lan
    15.0 inch XGA TFT
    Ati Radeon 200M IGP
    Altec Lansing Speakers

Is walmart planning on getting any more of these immediately? My mom could sure use a computer and this would be the ticket I think.

I'm not standing in line at Walmart for anything let alone the kind of people that are generally in line for a sale like that.
    ...WAIT FOR IT

That is like the 5th time I have seen you diss walmart and I never read your posts. You must be an unemployed "greeter", why don't you apply for the shopping cart pusher job?
