    Neither of those will be stellar for games, you will want one with dedicated graphics for that.

    The Compaq and add some ram.

    The acer Bigger HD or teh compaq and get a bigger HD and some Ram. Here check this out its a Alienware Sentia The bisically same stats as the compaq but better for games. You can get it for 700 and take the $ u save and add ram and a bigger HD.

    Out of those 2, I would go with the Acer because of WiFi and better screen. Whichever you get plan on upgrading the RAM, at least add 512mb(~$40-$50).
