Awesome monitor! I just got done setting up my home entertainment area in the basement. Can you say 110" screen? It uses a projector mounted to the ceiling. I haven't hooked up the comp to it yet, but will this weekend. BTW movies are AWESOME on it

Well, it's going to be pretty hard to get ghosting a screen with such a high native res. I imagine it's pretty hard to run games with a 60FPS VSYNC or 60FPS minimum which is really where you have to be to notice ghosting.
If the game is only displaying 45FPS average, and the monitor has a refresh rate of 22ms, then the screen won't show any ghosting. They are more or less in sync. However, if you break things down and run a game around 60-100FPS you should notice ghosting. Techincally, if you get any game running at a high enough FPS, it will ghost. Then again, it's somewhat limited by refresh rate as well because you get to the point where frames are being dropped.

ANY video card that is:
1. Dual DVI
2. Capable of running 2560x1600 @ 60hz
Will work.
So check the stats on the 7800GT you are buying. If 1+2 are true, you're golden.
I don't know what the dead pixel policy is, but there is a 3 year warranty on it, and if I start seeing dead pixels, I will ***** my way to getting a new one, rest assured.

Punch the screen, and say you have no idea what happened.

Just to clarify on this...
You need a video card that is DUAL LINK DVI capable. This is different from a card that just has two DVI connectors on the back. Dual-Link DVI is what offers the higher bandwidth to support the larger resolution.
Currently that leaves you the following choices in the PC world:
nVidia 7800 series cards. 6800 and previous do NOT have Dual-Link DVI connections.
ATI current generation x1000 series cards. The 850 and previous series do NOT have Dual-Link DVI.
Matrox Parhelia
3DLabs Wildcat series (Wonderful cards for CAD/CAM, maxing out at 640MB of onboard memory!!)
*Edit: In case you are wondering, the variations of the previous generations of cards from nVidia and ATI that were used in Macintosh's were required to have a Dual-Link DVI port, and were modified from their PC counterparts to comply with this requirement.

Has the 3007 monitor been tested on lower resolution and if they worked?
thanks
640x480
800x600
1024x768
1280x1024

I'd assume they work, but not well. The resolutions you listed are all 4:3 or 5:4, while the 3007 is 16:10 widescreen or something along those lines.
edit: 1280x800 should work well though.

I just tested all those rezzies, and they work, along with a dozen or so up and down.
However, the monitor only really looks excellent when running 1280x800 or 2560x1600.
So, why they DO work, I probably won't be using them for anything.

Nvidia has tested several 3007's that do work with 82.12 drivers. I also could not get 82.12 to work, but did get 81.98 and 83.10beta to work but I'm not sure about how many resolutions are listed in the 83.10 beta driver.
Cali, did you do a unisntall/driver clean before you tried loading the 82.12's? Have you re-tried loading the 82.12's on top of the 81.98's to see if maybe that would work?
