Maxtor 60GB problem (HDD Light allways on after a Test)
Hi i bought i used 60GB Maxtor Ata100/7200 here in forum 2 weeks ago and i try to install the drive from a week and i hawe only problems .
My specs are : Abit BE6-II (high Point ATA 66) , P III 933 , Win 98 SE
After i installed and partitioned the Maxtor drive with MaxBlast i run. Powermax utility to test the health of the Drive .
The 2 test's are ok and no fault is detected but after i run each test the HDD Light will be allways 0n and i must cut the power to get rid of HDD light.
I can do only one test and after i must cut the power and restart to be able to perform the next test because after the test is done i can't do something else and look like the drive is stopped or work extremely slow with that HDD light allways on.
Also in the Powermax utility the Heads = 1 and not 16 and all clinders hawe a wrong number also.
Also when i try to install EZ-software i can't see my drive on that option.
I kinda try everything so i dont' know *** to do more .
