You could mention pretty much any game out there and it's going to ruffle at least someone's feathers a bit.
For example, I really like Halo. I've played it a lot, probably more than I'd really like to admit, but there you have it. Some people love it, some people hate it, and others just don't give a crap.

No, there are VERY few games on these forums held in higher esteem with most users than the BG series.
Like I said, I have no opinion on it so I don't want to take sides since I've never played the games more than a few minutes, but in my time on these boards, there are few games more praised than the BG series.
Halo doesn't even come close.
